Ticket to ride Europe

My 8-year-old daughter loves ticket to ride, so we got this for Christmas. It’s a massive box, and the build quality is phenomenal. I love that the trains are different colors and models. It comes with a number of expansions - but that really just means it has more destination cards to pick from. If you have played tickets to ride, you’ll pick this up quickly. If you have never played ticket to ride, you can pick this up in a half hour or so.We order this to the original, I think because the trains themselves are more fun to play with, but I C also like how much more variation you get on this map in terms of the routes to can make.The only negative is that because so many “expansions” are included, we have to sort through the destination cards each time to include only the ones we want. Also, the stations are a little fiddly in terms of their mechanic, so you should read and re-read the rules for them before your first game.

This is a beautiful version of the classic TTR Europe game. No changes to the rules but the deluxe train cars and stations, plus a larger map make this a great version for fans of the game. I've included pictures to compare the classic game to this anniversary edition.

My family plays this every weekend. The anniversary addition is worth the extra cost getting the train cars more easily distinguishable and in separate tins, plus enough cards to play different versions, allowing for variety, and enjoy week after week. Easy enough to learn, and anyone can become the ticket master.

This game is awesome! It's easy to learn and truly entertaining! Too bad there was absolutely NO packaging....None. It was the game in the original cellophane, and that was it, so the box was a bit damaged when I received it. Had it been packaged in a cardboard shipping box, there certainly would have been no damage at all.

Worth, it's really really pretty and gameplay us even better. It's a thinker and destination ticket makes you have to adapt to new zones on the mapEdit: After a year or so in the hobby I've come to realize this is actually a fairly light game. If you're new to board games you can definitely hope on board with ticket to ride it is a little sep up from monopoly, uno and other Hasbro games (complexity wise) but it's very manageable overall.
