How To Play Ticket To Ride Europe

Setup: Start by setting up the game board, which depicts a map of Europe with various train routes connecting major cities. Each player selects a set of 45 colored train cars and matching scoring markers. Players are then dealt four train cards and three destination ticket cards, keeping at least two. These destination tickets will guide your route-building goals throughout the game.

Gameplay: On a player's turn, they can take one of three actions:

1. Draw Train Cards: Players can draw two train cards from either the face-up selection or the top of the deck. These cards are used to claim routes.

2. Claim a Route: To claim a route on the board, a player must play a set of train cards matching the color and number of spaces on that route. They then place their train cars on the route and score points based on the route length.

3. Draw Destination Tickets: Players can draw three additional destination tickets, keeping at least one. These tickets provide additional points if completed by the end of the game, but incur a penalty if not.

Special Features: Ticket to Ride Europe introduces additional elements such as ferries, tunnels, and train stations:

• Ferries require locomotive cards to claim.

• Tunnels may require additional cards to complete, determined by drawing cards from the deck.

• Train Stations allow players to use an opponent's route to complete their own destination tickets but cost points if used.

End of the Game: The game ends when a player has two or fewer train cars left. Each player then takes one final turn. Players reveal their destination tickets and add or subtract the points based on completed or incomplete routes. Bonus points are awarded for the longest continuous route. The player with the highest score wins.
